In a constantly changing world, thinking about systemic change can feel overwhelming and intangible. However, by activating collective change, we can become inspired and hopeful. Join us and our special guests as we explore what it means to have money in service of life, imagine possible futures together, and discover ways to move from awareness into action.
In this webinar, we have the pleasure of hosting a discussion with special guests Lynn Murphy and Alnoor Ladha, authors of the groundbreaking book "Post-capitalist Philanthropy: Healing Wealth in Times of Collapse," as well as Seth Tabatznik, co-founder of Be the Earth and 42 Acres. Together, we will delve into the historic and current role of money and discuss the values, principles, and processes of a new paradigm that prioritizes life.
While current changes in philanthropy, investment, and tax activism are steps in the right direction, this webinar will explore the processes and practices that can help us go deeper and take bolder steps toward transformative action. We will provide a simple framework for guiding conversations within your organization and engaging our senses and intuition in pursuing possible pathways for this emerging future.
Whether you are already on the path of trust-based philanthropy and impact investment or just starting your journey, this webinar will help you align your actions with deeper principles and design practices, processes, and conversations that support this shift within your organization. We hope to see you there.
“Post capitalist philanthropy focuses on the use and transformation of wealth to usher in life-centric systems. Given the state and evolving context of the meta-crisis, there is a short window of time where capital will continue to be valuable; as such, a central question for post capitalist philanthropy is: how do we use capital to build post capitalist political economies, infrastructure, and systems (including food, water, energy, medicine and cultural sovereignty).”
